1.     The Cat in the Hat by Dr. Seuss
2.     I Can Read Book: Biscuit by Alyssa Satin Capucilli
3.     Go, Dog Go! By P.D Eastman

Students are required to read one of the books from the list above with a parent/guardian and with assistance complete one of the following activities based on what they have read:

#1 Postcard: Create your own postcard. On the front of the postcard draw and color a picture that explains the story. On the back of the postcard write a 3-4 sentence summary about the story.

#2 Poster - Create a poster using crayons, color pencils, markers or paint that explain the story chosen. On the back of the poster write a 3-4 sentence summary about the story.

#3 Drawing: Draw a picture of your favorite page. Explain in writing (3-4 sentences) why this page is your favorite. Use evidence from the story to support your answer.

In addition to the summer reading list project, please work with your child with their letter and sound recognition.

This assignment will be collected on Friday, August 15, 2025, by your child’s homeroom teacher.
